Stress Management
Powerful Free Tips!

Here are some of my favourite Stress Management tips:

If you are stressed you are more than likely aware of it. You are not alone. There are lots of positive things to do to help make you feel better very soon. Here are some effective stress management tips

'By the yard life is hard,

By the inch life’s a cinch’

Moment by moment we can always cope with life. Most stress comes from fretting about the past or worrying about the future. My Mum  once said to me... 'By the yard life is hard, by the inch life's a cinch'. Just let go. Enjoy the NOW moment, and the universe will look after you.

Get enough sleep. This is nature's most powerful healer. Get eight, at absolute minimum, six hours, per night. If it's the late night movie versus some lovely, healing sleep I think you know the right answer!

Exercise on a regular basis as part of your stress management regime. Do what you love. No point in 'dragging' yourself to the gym if you don't like it.

Do things you enjoy and don't let that pest called anxiety spoil things for you.

Chat with your uplifting friends. Listen to your favourite soothing music. Dance to your wildest music, Now that is fun stress management!

As I'm sure you know stress can easily lead to anger. Learn and practice Anger Management with your mentor or personal therapist.

A lot of stress comes from trying to be what you are not. Things that other people would find marvellous might seem hateful to another.

Don't get stressed trying to be Wonder Woman! Or Superman.

It's not just obvious things like being stuck in a traffic jam that cause stress. 'Nice' things can as well. So don't feel guilty or be pressurised into doing what you don't want... Learn to be assertive and to say no confidently. You will become more yourself and people love being around a 'real' person!

If you smoke try and give up. I know, easier said than done! Many people find it easy to give up with  Hypnotherapy sessions or workshops at www.bernicemckenna.ie

Keep alcohol intake to a minimum The 'positive' effects are short lived and you feel worse afterwards. This is partly because the body shuts down it's own 'happy chemicals' factory when you are 'under the influence' of drugs or alcohol. Get help if needed on this site. www.bernicemckenna.ie

If you are prone to anxiety or sleeplessness, coffee (apart from decaf) is a stress management no no! It can send anxiety and stress levels through the roof. I know it's difficult but try giving it up for a while. Or at least cut down. Decaf isn't so bad. Honestly!

When you wake up in the morning think of at least one thing you are really looking forward to. If there isn't anything, then invent something! I'm sure you don't need any suggestions from me! .

Instead of focusing on the moment or the task in hand our imagination shoots ahead and sees horrific piles of stuff to be done. Try and stay in the moment and make sure you fit adequate breaks into your day. You will be so much more efficient afterwards.

Generally, do not overeat and do eat lots of fruit and veg. Get plenty of fresh air. Breathe deeply.
